Rain Outs

Rain outs are an unfortunate part of playing baseball in the late spring and early summer. When there is a question about the weather for a practice or a game the decision making process is as follows.

• Prior to 4pm the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department will decide whether we play or not. They will post cancellations on their website here. You can also install the Rainoutline app which is available for iPhone and Android. Search for Iowa City Parks and Recreation for information within the app. Sign up for email or text alerts, too.
• After 4pm the decision to play a game or not will be made by an ICBB board member and may not be posted on the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department's site. We encourage everyone to download the Sports Engine App Here: apps.apple.com/us/app/sportsengine/id499597400 We will update this information on our app and we will also post on our Facebook account. If you have a question on game day after 5pm please reach out to your team's manager.
• The same process applies for our practice schedule. In the absence of a Clubhouse Manager the decision to continue a practice in rain will be at the manager's discretion.
