Welcome to the 2025 Iowa City Boys Baseball Spring/Summer season! Please be sure to read all of the information carefully as some changes have been made.
The application fee this year is $95 per player. Registration closes March 14th.
Any child who reaches his/her 5th birthday on or before April 30th, 2025, and does not reach his/her 14th birthday by May 1st, 2025, is eligible to participate. Players are divided into 4 age groups. We do allow players to play up a level at parent discretion. If you have an interest in playing up a division please put a note in your registration (answer "yes" to "Do you want to play up a league"). Due to age restrictions on the registration you will need to register per age group, we will make the changes accordingly on request.
AGES 5 and 6 - INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE
AGES 7 and 8 - PITCHING MACHINE LEAGUE
AGES 9 and 10 - JUNIOR LEAGUE
AGES 11, 12, and 13 - SENIOR LEAGUE
All pre-season practices as well as all regular season games will be scheduled on Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The set days for practices and games for each league will not be determined until our registration has closed and we determine the number of teams for each league. Practices are projected to start Monday, April 7th and each team will be scheduled for 2 practices per week over a 2 week time span plus 2 scrimmages. There will be a few in-season practices throughout the season. Our opening day for games for 2025 is April 28. Our game season will run for 7 weeks with an opportunity to play up to 10 regular season games, weather permitting. At the conclusion of our season we will play our Championship Tournament, with games beginning June 16th. PLEASE NOTE - We may play on all days Monday through Friday this week for schedule flexibility and rain dates. Senior League may extend into the week of June 21. Please mark these dates on your calendar and plan on attending!
All practices and all games for Instructional League, Pitching Machine, and Junior League will be at the Bobby Oldis Fields at the west end of Lower City Park. Our Senior League games will be at either City Park, or may be in North Liberty or Tiffin with a recent co-operative agreement with the North Liberty Rec program. For more information on our Co-Operative Program with North Liberty, see individual "Leagues" pages. Regular season game times will be at 5:30 pm and 7:00 pm. We are planning on scheduling all Instructional League and Pitching Machine league games at 5:30 and Junior and Senior League games at 7. There may be some exceptions based on player numbers in each league.
Players should be notified of their teams the 1st week of April and practices start the week of April 7th. We ask that parents not make roster requests.
